Steak N Noodle In Pesto Sauce

Delicious yet light on the stomach

ingredient

Steak 500gms, cut into strips
Lemon Juice 3 tbsp
Soya Supreme Cooking Oil 3 tsp
Onions 2 sliced
Sugar 2tsp
Noodles or Rice for serving
Coriander & Red Onion Slices for garnish

Coriander Pesto

Red Chilies 2 small
Coriander bunch 90 gms (with roots intact)
Peanuts/Hazelnuts 6
Garlic 6 cloves
Fresh Ginger 1 piece (1 ½ inch)
Soya Supreme Cooking Oil ½ cup

Method:

  •  To make the coriander pest, roughly chop the chilies, coriander and nuts.
  •  Place them along with the ginger and garlic, in a food processor and process until finely chopped.
  •  With the motor still running, slowly add Soya Supreme Cooking Oil to make a paste.
  •  Mix the pesto with beef and plenty of salt and pepper and 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
  •  Toss well, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  •  Heat Soya Supreme Cooking Oil in a wok and stir-fry the onions for 2-3 mins. Remove and set aside.
  •  Heat extra Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and stir fry the beef in batches over high heat. Toss constantly.
  •  Add the onions, lime juice, sugar and toss well.
  •  Spread this over the noodles or boiled rice and garnish with sliced onion and coriander
